About this Section

The hardware required for fast rendering is expensive and operating this hardware consumes a significant amount of energy. Therefore, the aim of Renderhive cannot be to provide rendering power for free to everyone. Instead, the Renderhive project strives for being a dynamic, free market place without any centralized type of price regulation. The network only defines the rules each market participant has to follow and provides technical means to ensure that each node adheres to these rules through the use of distributed ledger technologies. This section describes how prices on the network are formed and how payments on the render hive are processed.
