Blacklisting & Scores

Client nodes may decide to blacklist render nodes and vice versa, if they had bad experiences with a specific node in a prior render job. Each render offer and each render request, respectively, will contain this list so blacklisted nodes will be ignored when distributing a render job. This will make sure that nodes that deliver a bad performance or bad behavior will be sanctioned for this and are effectively excluded from the network over time.

In addition, the network may create a scoring system where client and render nodes vote each other up or down after each successful or unsuccessful render job execution. This may give highly reliable render node operators a justification for slightly higher prices. On the other hand, client nodes may define minimum scores for their render offers or render requests, which will be respected during the distribution of render jobs as well.

The blacklisting and scoring will not be part of the initial release.
